The Little Ghost by Edna St. Vincent Millay
I knew her for a little ghost
That in my garden walked;
The wall is high—higher than most—
And the green gate was locked.
And yet I did not think of that
Till after she was gone—
I knew her by the broad white hat,
All ruffled, she had on.
By the dear ruffles round her feet,
By her small hands that hung
In their lace mitts, austere and sweet,
Her gown's white folds among.
I watched to see if she would stay,
What she would do—and oh!
She looked as if she liked the way
I let my garden grow!
She bent above my favourite mint
With conscious garden grace,
She smiled and smiled—there was no hint
Of sadness in her face.
She held her gown on either side
To let her slippers show,
And up the walk she went with pride,
The way great ladies go.
And where the wall is built in new
And is of ivy bare
She paused—then opened and passed through
A gate that once was there.

From ‘The Dolls Funeral”..........W A Dromgorle
We dug her a grave in the violet bed,
And planted violets at her head;
And we raised a stone and wrote quite plain,
"Here lies a dear doll who died of pain."
And then my brother, said he, "Amen,"
And we all went back to the house again,
But all the same I cried and cried,
Because I'd a right when my doll had died.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving
safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in
sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, totally worn out and
screaming 'WOO HOOOO what a ride!'

Flowers and ghostly, too!
~Corydon's Doleful Knell~
A garland shall be framed
By art and nature's skill,
Of sundry-color'd flowers,
In token of good-will.
And sundry-color'd ribands
On it I will bestow;
But chiefly blacke and yellowe
With her to grave shall go.
I'll deck her tomb with flowers,
The rarest ever seen;
And with my tears as showers,
I'll keep them fresh and green.

I was about 7 years old living in my birthtown in Scotland.
At the time a lot of old buildings were being torn down due to their slumlike condition.
I was sitting in our parked car (with my Dad waiting on Mum who was in the grocery store) beside one of these half-torn down buildings. It was fascinating to look inside what used to be someone's home. Wallpaper still on the walls, a toilet still attached to the wall etc. There was talk about the building having been infested with rats but I couldn't see any. In one of the apartments that was still intact I saw a standing female figure. She was dressed all in white, some type of a caftan with a white head scarf. She looked Arabic. I stared at her for a while and then mentioned her to my Dad who told me to stop being silly because there was nobody there.
Was she a ghost or a figment of my imagination? She definitely had a lovely presence whichever she was.

Hey this cards are so amazing.
Pedro and Inęs
At long, long time ago there was a romance like Romeu and Julliet, but was betwen Pedro and Inęs. Pedro was a prince and Inęs a woman that worked for his wife. The love of both was big but Pedro father didn’t aproved the romance. So he chouced 2 guys to kill Inęs, so the 2 guys went to where Inęs was. They grabbed her and one killed her from the back, and he took her heart to show to the king. Inęs was killed at one palance.
Pedro when knew that her love was death got insane and tryed to know who had killed her. When he finded out, himslef killed the 2 man, and the one that killed her, he killed him from the backs , the same way he killed Inęs.
The romance over the day Pedro died, but the history says that where inęs got killed a river borned and people say that stiil runs Inęs blood.
The funny of this sad storie, is that recently people find out the red at the river, are some aquatic red plants.
But what a coincidence, no?

My daughters are very interested in what is real and what isn't.
My older daughter has looked at me closely and asked if fairies are real. Unhesitatingly I have said, "To me they are very real."
Ghosts, well that is another story. My youngest is afraid of ghosts! She is 3 and to my knowledge has never seen one, but mention ghost and she is in my lap in a heartbeat. First, she loves to be scared, second, she loves sitting in laps and third she is also spooked easily.
I have heard her talking to her babies about the ghosts at the jailhouse in a nearby park...after she heard me jokingly say the abandoned jail must be haunted.
Right now I have them laughing and hanging on every word as I tell them stories of a witch I invented. Good ol' Dooley Daley who collects finger and toenail shavings. Then she flies off with them to her house on the mountain and uses the shavings to decorate her walls. So that is why when your nails get too long you need to let your Mum trim them. Otherwise you might find Dooley Daley trying to get them off of you herself....
Seems to me it is about time for Dooley Daley to have a run-in with a ghost up on her mountain. And of course when you tell a Dooley Daley story you need a nice Irish brogue to go with it. So this is why I oftentimes start laughing myself in the middle of a scary part, becuase me own brogue is sooo bad, and the little girls eyes are soooo wide and well, the combination makes for a bit of a comical situation, don't you think?

I'm always telling my lover that he needed be scared of the spirits that visit here now and again... although... I think he was a bit pissed by our last visitor...
We were watching a movie on the PC when suddenly I asked him: "Do you smell that?" A very strong almost burning smell started to permeate through the house... He said he didn't smell anything so I thought it was just me.
5 minutes after that he starts smelling it too. Maybe something is burning? he says. A wire or something like that?
So of course we disconnect EVERYTHING, and look at it, but nothing was smoking or even burned through.
I start feeling a big presence near me, and even with all the windows open I started coughing (I'm an asthmatic). Immediately I realised that it was my friends dad, who was a heavy smoker and is known to let his presence be known that way. I politely asked him to leave, and went to get my asthma meds. (As did my lover)
Then I reconnected the PC and asked my friend how her situation was, and what was going on. The smell cleared really fast.
He's also been known to be in another friends car with him, and when his wife stepped in she asked:"Who has been smoking in the car!". When in fact, nobody had.
To be graceful to all whom we meet, regardless of their attitude towards us seems to be the real test of faith.
Happily Enjoying Life =)
