It appears that the two "cherubs" on top of her throne are mermaids. I wonder if the one on the bottom side of her throne (the one holding the fish) is also a mermaid?

I think it must be a mermaid, too, because an air-breathing cherub would need a diving mask and snorkel -- nope. No sign of snorkel there. :0

I just noticed last night that the blanket on the nine of swords is chequred with the roses and various astrological symbols ,this intrigues me does anyone know what they are for ?

If the roses symbolize passion and desire, and the astrological signs represent cycles of time, perhaps her passion/desire is coming to an end or completion (and it doesn't look like she's too thrilled about it

). It may also be connected to the dueling swordsmen on the side of her bed.

What about the Chariot's shoulder armor. His right shoulder looks like the profile of a face. The left one does, too, but not as much.

If you look at the link above, you'll see that one face is smiling and one face is angry. This card (for me) is about using your will to curb your emotions, impulses, etc. All of the card shows a lot of duality, as in the black and white sphinxes. It's like being at work, and really wanting to bop your boss over the head, but instead, using your will to curb that impulse (and thereby keeping your job
