If you guys aren't fed up with IDing crystals...

I've got some more for you please!!!

I volunteer in a charity shop and someone donated some crystals (39 in all) so I bought them. I've IDed all but 4 of them, so I wondered if you could help please??

I took several pics of each crystal and then photoshopped them into one image per crystal.

1- This first one I have no idea what it is:

2- This one I think is tourmaline:

3- This one, although in the picture it looks brown is actually clear. It looks like (apart from colour) my blue topaz, so that's what i think it is - topaz:

4- I think this is lapis lazuli, but I've never seen raw lapis:

These I know are garnets but I don't know what sort they are. They are a dark red with deep red flashes, and the smallest one is translucent, the rest are opaque. I bought 2 several years ago before I knew there were different types, and there were 2 more in the bag from the charity shop (the fourth one isn't in the picture).

My guesses are

#1-could be Sodalite
#2-Might be Calcite
#4-Looks like Azurite but could very well be Lapis...I've never seen raw Lapis either.

I'm not very well up on stones and stuff.

But I love Lapis, and I have some, and #4 looks lik it to me, thought without seeing it in the flesh I wouldn't say for sure, and even then I would certainly defer to one more knowegable than I.

Is 3 a clear orangy brown? if it is, it might be Citrine. Mine is clear orangy brown, fading to yellow then to white, and it has dark brown flecks. Does that sound like yours?

I love the lapis one, by the way. Lovely deep colours.

Does it have mettalic flecks in it? or metalic veins? sort of gold coloured?
Lapis can have that as well as the white bits.

1. blue aventurine
2. if it is pink that i can see with the green, then it is watermelon tourmaline - quite expensive too.
3. looks like quartz
4. definitely azurite.

and they are just tumbled garnets in the last pic.

Looks just like some lapis I've seen. (unless that was azurite in disguise....hmmmm....)

I've looked at my green aventurines and compared them to #1 and the patterns are the same, but the contrast in colours is more pronounced in the blue aventurine. I'm surprised at this though because I had such a bad reaction to raw blue aventurine, but I really like this stone.

#2 I'm certain is watermelon tourmaline. In comparison to calcite they're way different in texture, which I know is hard from photos.

#3 I guess is smokey quartz. I swear this one has got darker since I brought it home! I'm sure it was fairly clear but now it's brownish clear. Now I'm wondering if that's a good thing or not... perhaps it doesn't want to be here? I'm not getting anything feeling-wise from it.

#4 has no metallic flecks or veins. Azurite it is then. But I'm curious now as I have a piece of azurite that is a much darker blue. Can azurite be navy blue?

#1 sure looks like sodalite to me. I was going to say flourite for the green one.

The first one looks really pretty.
Is it always like that? White with those lovely blue flecks?

no it is deffo blue aventurine as sodalite is a lot darker, more like lapis lazuli.

azurite is the brightest blue of all the minerals hence it being named after the colour, azure.

Watermelon tourmaline has a pink center with a green rim, like a watermelon does.

It looks to me more like fluorite or calcite.
