*laughs* The pink bow got me too. But I like it. There's a certain freshness, an innocence to it. Especially since he's got a hot, naked body. I like the magician too. The colors on this are really great. It's got an "old" look to it, I think. Oh, and I wanted to say in particular that I think you're doing really well with the collage. So far, I haven't seen extraneous elements. Sometimes I think people get so excited that they don't compose their work well. But you're obviously thinking about it. Or if you're not thinking, you've got innate talent. |

Thanks Miren. I understand what you mean about the 'old' feel to them. Even though they are modern, they remind me of old style pictures. Like the old cowboy posters - the Lovers one, anyway. And I think of very old funfairs and sideshows. There is a weirdness to them. Not all is as it seems. I tried The Moon tonight but it didn't really work. Well, I didn't like it. I am trying to not be too perfectionist but since they are for me to use, I want them to be as perfect as I can get them. LB |

These are quite nice, LB! I very much like the style... the earthy colors and antique look! and as a straight guy, I'm not put off my the half naked guys... it almost adds a very masculine feel to the deck! very well done! I can't wait to see the rest of them... awesome job! keep us updated... Thanks Joe. I am trying to do them in a very asexual way. You have so many goddess decks with undressed women that appear very powerful, that I felt that a male-oriented deck would be nice. Not all would be undressed, I feel, but when they are, like in the Sun, I think it shows his honesty, truth, warmth and healing. There won't be nudity for the sake of it. I want to do a male deck, that is not gay. Even though my Lovers card shows two men, it is more than that. It is about loving yourself. About seeing yourself in another. It is a warning to let your lover be an individual in their own right. all choices. And The Magician is clothed. He is a dark magician, to some extent. He is like the owner of an underground club. He has the power to make things happen. He opens and closes when he chooses. He can give you free drinks. But he can also take advantage of his position, so watch your back .. and watch your change. He is just as likely to change from the host-with-the-most to someone you might wish you had not crossed. LB |

*drooling* Lovely cards LB I really like the affect you're getting across. The mixture of old, new, contemporary, NAKED MEN mmmmmmmm......oh lost that thought LB I hope you do finish all cards, well even if you only do the majors I'd be more than interested in purhasing a copy I'm sure most of my male friends would like a copy also oh and my sister. These are lovely cards LB. I really like your choice of colours and the collage effect. The atmosphere that they have is reminding me of the covers of Neil Gaiman's Sandman graphic novels which I've always admired. |

I like the feel of these cards too. They're odd enough to give me a sense of more going on in the picture than I can see, it tickles my imagination. Like a challenge to step into their world. ![]() I'll be watching this thread for sure. AngelC __________________ Everything is always ok in the end, if it's not ok it's not the end. |

They are so quirky and different! Yes, in a good way. The cards you have shown so far are so striking and direct, I am sure this will make a wonderful deck. I'm looking forward to seeing more soon ![]() Blessings, Em x __________________ "Emily Carding is mad-woman-visionary-artist of the first order. AngelC, FreeFlight, Winnie, Cheeky and Sihe-Ra, Thankyou so much for the comments. I really do appreciate them. It is very nice to please yourself, but also, that others find some worth in what I have done. So cheers for your kind words. And the greatest thing is that I am actually enjoying doing them. And looking at them afterwards. They look so much better printed out. Gonna have a stab at another one this afternoon, once the housework is done. LB |
