The Tarot Card Mysteries by David Skibbins
I discovered this series just now and I was wondering if anyone here has read them. The main character is Warren Ritter, a Tarot card reader and unwilling amateur investigator. "He looks like a short, hungry version of Prince Charming. But he's no charmer, he's sarcastic, manic depressive, and thoroughly leftist. These days he's reading Tarot cards in Berkeley, California, when he's not finding murderers." So far there are two books in the series--the Eight of Swords and High Priestess. The author's site is at http://www.davidskibbins.com and he has all kinds of stuff on it. You can read a few chapters, sign up for a mailing list, get automated 3 RWS card readings, etc. __________________ "No, I think I'll just go down and have some pudding and wait for it all to turn up... I only briefly looked at his site a few months ago, but I have read both of his books and LOVED LOVED LOVED them. I'm waiting impatiently for the next one. Ruby |

I read both of them too, and enjoyed them very much. __________________ I am who I take the time to become. |

New book out soon.
The Star is the next book due for release, hardbound, on Feb. 7th according to B&N. I have ordered the first two books in paperback. I'm looking forward to reading these after checking out the website. Dave __________________ If you have options, exercise them all. |

I just found this series, very interesting and fun. I like the characters - I am about halfway through 8 of Swords, the first book. I had the lastest one, The Star, checked out to me and on my public desk at work, and a few of my patrons took a look at it. I finally took it in back because I was afraid someone was going to take it.

I enjoyed the Star -- I think this whole series is good. I was disappointed that there wasn't more tarot involvement in the new one, but it was still good! __________________ I am who I take the time to become. Last edited by Cocobird55; 12-03-2007 at 04:11. |
