3 Rune cast. looking for advice.

I decided to severe contact with a friend i was having problems with, I was wondering if i did the right thing. Bellow is the reading.

Situation: Bercana Merkstave
Advice: Isa
Outcome: Dagaz.

I'm confused about Isa as the advice, is this rune telling that shoudn't make any decisions? Any help with this reading will be very welcome.

There is total standstill here. I don't see Berkana as reversed but in a kind of hibernation like slow winter growth. Things still grow under the ice. Isa is standstill. Stop. It is telling you that at this time, severing contact is a good idea and is advising you to have patience and await the dawning of a new day (Dagaz) This will be very slow though as Isa slows down all around it.

For me the Isa Rune is saying that you should stand still. Don't do anything one way or the other about this relationship right now. If I were you I wouldn't severe the relationship but I also wouldn't do anything to continue it. If you say anything to end this relationship you might regret it later. The whole Rune reading seems to be saying 'let things cool down and wait for a new day'. Sometimes the best thing to do is 'nothing at all'.

One of the reason for severing the contact was a commuincation problem which caused the situation to become very stagnant. Iindeed things are in standstill not much happening at the moment, hopefully Dagaz will help melt the ice and things can start to change.

Thank you for the different point of view, i wil take it in consideration. Isa could be saying to wait for the ice to melt.

Dagaz = 23

Rune Total = 52 = 2(24) + 4 = Uruz(24) + Ansuz = Aim of the Reading
Rune Key = 5 + 2 = 7 = Gebo

In general the Aim is an overall healing effect and wisdom is gained. The Key is to remain connected to events and open to outcome.

This supports the advice others have provided - don't sever connection yet. Ride this out.

Tara, your spread can also mean to let the situation go. You're obsessing over this!! Let things take their natural course and stop trying to drive energy into it for no useful purpose.
