Tarot de la Felicite, 2006 Edition.

le pendu

In a recent thread, the Tarot de la Felicite was brought up, and I swooned a bit over the cards.

I've known about this deck of 22 TdM Trumps for about three years, and have always wanted a set.

I checked about a year or two ago, and it seemed the going price was around $200.

Today, Papageno alerted me that there was a NEW EDITION of the deck available on Ebay. A 2006, limited edition, 500 copies, signed, numbered. It seems there are still copies available.

and his other deck.. but interesting to see how it is made..

The box is different than the version I have seen before. I'm not sure if the quality of the cards is different in any way.

I've just ordered mine. :)

Fantastic!

It's clear that this second edition is quite distinct in its finish from the first, so I need it for comparative purposes :D

love to hear your comments when you get a chance to do a comparsion.

the two most obvious differences I can discern from the website images are the designs of the backs and the background. obviously I can't speak about the finish of the cards or other fine points. I can't even make out the background design of the first edition clearly which is frustrating.

I am interested in your view of this deck le pendu, because I cautiously say that it doesn't appeal to me from what I see. I think its the coloured backgrounds that puts me in mind of the Marsella. But perhaps I'm being unfair, not seeing it in the flesh.

Right Moonbow*,

I am not a fan of the Marsella because of the backgrounds. These look more subdued to be. I hope so!

I love the artwork, and craftsmanship, and the choices of what elements from which decks were chosen.

If I don't love it, it will be finding a new home soon enough, but I suspect I will like it very much, I've only heard good things about it.
