No, but it's fascinating! ![]() xx __________________ "Emily Carding is mad-woman-visionary-artist of the first order. Well, I feel that the work done by Magic Realist shows pretty clearly that as far as capabilities go... there's no difference. Obviously, talented artists can do incredible work with whichever tool they prefer.

My husband has a Mac and I'm all PC. I've not noticed any issues with image files appearing differently on either. Sidhe-Ra, if no one has already offered, I can check an image on Mac or PC to verify that it opens properly if you'd like. |

Thanks! Could I maybe try and email you a little TIF? (I struggle sometimes with large attachments, but Hotmail might manage a tiny one, which is all we'd need to test it) Blessings, Em x __________________ "Emily Carding is mad-woman-visionary-artist of the first order. I have a mac. I don't send tif files, I always send jpeg. What are tif files for? Once a file is in jpeg form (or tif I guess) it can be read by any computer. My nearly computer-illiterate mother with her PC has no difficulty opening the images I send her from a mac. |

But PRINTERS need tifs - higher quality and detail etc. __________________ ~ ~ I probably shouldn't be here. But this was the only universe which had a vacancy. ~ ~ (Granny from Hell) I is very deaf. I'm not an expert, but I believe most of the differences in image file types revolve around compression, layers, and color depth. It's a fun conversation if you enjoy that kind of thing, but most people get bored when I discuss the advantages of png over gif or jpg for buttons. |

Thank you raebelle! I now know that my TIFs do indeed work on a mac. Problem solved! Many Blessings, Em x __________________ "Emily Carding is mad-woman-visionary-artist of the first order.
