Selling Some Stuff on eBay
Yep, i've went and done it...I finally started selling stuff on eBay. I'm planning on starting a store on there once I have enough feedback, but for now I just put up a few listings. So I figured some people here might be interested... You can see all of my items here. There are quite a few things by now. Thoth deck for $19.99, Art Nouveau deck for $22.99, Rider-Waite deck for $16.99, one-card reading for $1.99, and three-card reading for $7.99. The listing's changing quite a bit now so it'll just be easier to see the list linked above.

Take your site link off the listings, this is ebay illegal and it will get your listings pulled. You can make a ME page, and have a link to a website on it, but there are specific rules about that also, so read the terms. Best wishes on your listings and your plans! |

For complete rules, see Ebay Policy, I linked directly to the help page about linking to descriptions! Good luck selling! Kahlie __________________ To be graceful to all whom we meet, regardless of their attitude towards us seems to be the real test of faith. Happily Enjoying Life =) |

I've added some stuff, including a few more decks. I've sold a few items now so it's going pretty well. Thanks for the advise, again. My full listing can be found here. As an off-topic note...wow my first reading from there went really really strangely. Strangest question i've ever come across before. Lol. Last edited by Nholdamek; 26-03-2007 at 04:44. |

For some reason your art and rw deck are showing Thoth cards in the return search list. They aren't in the listings..that's very odd. If I can be so bold to make another suggestion? You shipping seems high and will keep many people from bidding who might otherwise do so. What helped me set those prices when I started was investing in a good scale, you can buy them at any office supply store, on Ebay (which will help get your feedback up) or at the post office itself. When you are next at the post office ask for a Ratefold 123. It lists the costs to ship, by weight, and zip code zone for all type of mail. Go here: http://postcalc.usps.gov/zonecharts/default.asp type in YOUR zip code and print out the page that returns. Then if your item will ship at 3 pounds you can consult your rate chart and see that will ship for 2.55 media or between 5-9.00 Priority depending on the buyers zip code. OR if it will fit in a Priority envelope it will ship at 4.05 anywhere in the states as long as it doesn't go over 4 pounds. Best of wishes! edited to add: postage rates are going up in May, so pick up a new Ratefold 123 then. |

Really? That's weird about the image; are you positive? Here's the rider-waite listing. I updated it with new shipping prices. Those are about the lowest I can get. Is that better? And how's the image? Going to update the other decks now. Thanks again. |

that is better for sure. I'm still seeing just the green Thoth cards when I click in the link in your post #5. It really is strange since that image is not in the listing at all for the Art and the RW deck. Are you hosting your own images, or is Ebay? If you click on Community at the top of the page and then click on technical issues, or HTML forums someone there may be able to help figure it out. Don't be afraid to talk about the decks you are selling, you need to think marketing just like the folks whose commercials you see on TV. If someone had never bought a deck for instance looked at your listings, what can you say to interest them in tarot cards that would make them bid? Best Wishes! |

Hi, Weird. Is it the thumbnail that is displaying that deck but the larger images shows the correct picture? I'm hosting them myself, and I know at least the larger picture goes to the right place. But when i created those deck listings, I just clicked "sell a similar item" off of the Thoth, but I removed the one picture and added a new one. maybe they didn't change the thumbnail? I'll have to look around. Also, for each deck I basically just pasted in the description I have on my site; not sure what I could say about them... I'm still getting used to how to do this. I noticed many other people make their text in different colors or in bold and such, and that seems too tacky for my liking. Thanks again. Edited to add: Oooo, I think I fixed it!
