mornin empath! Beautiful here! I thought it would be a bit rainy but it isn't - cool but nice and beautiful..... I'm going to draw a couple of more cards - this time with my mythic.... WHO is this person? base - 3 of swords 4 of swords * 8 of Wands * fool I am more confused now then I was before.....UGH I think Mary is a good choice... but I think Mary Magdalene is a better choice more mortal. For lack of a better way for describing it.

Up and at 'em
Ok one more reading before I go to work which is in the warehouse today so no computerin' possible. Using my (favorite). Etteilla Book of Thoth 1882 deck: Three cards: Hermit, 5 swordsR, Chaos. Cloistered, bewildered/lost or baffled, and loyal or sincere. Chaos in the Etteliia deck is the card often used to represent the male querent. It also symbolizes the universe and is defined as sincerity as in I think, a sort of blank slate or Tabula Rasa. An "everythingness". I am getting some sort of religious figure more and more myself- Someone untouched, virginal, not damaged or maybe an androgynous woman. Some sort of saint or sexless type of person. Joan of Arc, Mary of Naz, or any number of those weird saint chicks, who see blood and have visions. Mother Theresa does not seem to fit and probably had a birthday ( Damn- what sort of present would you buy her???. Imagine having to pick out a gift for Mother Theresa!!!??) Androgynous would be fun- Any famous hermaphrodites out there? Jeeze what a great subject that would be. If I didn't have to warehouse today I'd be checking for famous he/shes.... Whoo hoo... I leave you all to wrassle with this one, back this afternoon. |

Mary had crossed my mind too, but I decided she falls outside the realm of a historical figure. hmmm. I am stumped right now. __________________ Full cup, steady hand. I decided to use the Revelations Deck; since it has people with masks on hiding who they really are. Looks: 15 The Devil/4 of Wands-Rx This woman is regal in actions, very laid back on the surface but there is a lot of deeper issues going on. She is very concern with material and physical possessions. Her face is long; deep set eyes, a high willows peck. She is slim and softenly curved, understated in a way. Well toned but bordering on that line of being unhealthy looking. Career: 12 The Hanged Man-Rx/3 of Swords-Rx In her career she was very independant and going after what she wanted. There was a lot of problems in her life that she had to deal with some well, some not so well but some of her career wasn't all that she wanted or hoped it would be. It also wasn't all that ethicial and didn't laid on the side of legal at times. Personality: 6 of Wands/5 of Swords: She always come off as being vicortious even when she didn't win what she was going after. She is very strong willing to sacrifice anything that she deemed necessary. She is extremely cold in personality while showing a very warm and giving front. Random Information Cards: 6 of Swords/ Knight of Pentacles: Apparently at one point she gave up on her life, and the one that she wanted to hide from all of the shame and stife that she encountered in her life. She wasn't happy at the end of her life and there were some things that she couldn't live with. It was more of a hiding then anything at the end. QC: 6 Lovers: The cards add up to that of the Lovers, so this is a woman that is deeply connected to love. As odd as this is, Celtic never mentioned that it was a real person or in what live time that she lived. While at first I thought this was a fictional character that is known through out the world. One that is selfish and mature, one that is ruthless in getting what she wants at any cost even to herself. There isn't very much she wouldn't do to get it. There is no finer lines of morals and standards that many of us would have. That being said it would leave out most of our list of Marys and probably even Eve too. Cleo is always possible, as is the list of others mentioned. I do however think it dates a bit farther back in history: Venus: the Goddess of Love or her Greek counterpart: Aphrodite. Completely off the beaten track I know but this is what I got. |

Well I just don't know and where is everybody??? My last guess is "Lucy" that skull dug up in Africa who was the ur-mother of everybody or whatever her name was. Or one of those frozen in ice Celtics or volcano sacrafice peruvians. Not that you'de be able to get a good fix on the career or looks or somebody like that, but maybe it fits my androgynous thing. Skulls all look the same He/she. |

I just looked it up- The African Eve- Everyone's mother from Tanzania or Ethiopia- but they said she was 150,000 years old so I guess that is a birthdate of sorts. makes her pretty deceased tho. |

Hello everyone ![]() Another tricky addictive one!! ![]() I pulled another card, and again got the ACE OF CUPS. Now, to me, I always think of this as the beginning of Love - the new, fresh start of Love. I'm still thinking Mary, but too bad it's not Eve - I liked that one too! I just don't get it, because in the Catholic Church we celebrate Mary's B-day. So, puzzled.... ............................. .......

I'm still going with Eve or "more properly" as Celt said = The African Eve. Maybe that is the specific answer. Ace of Cups could be the mother of all- some giant womb theme- AND- the skull thing would certainly border on tabi's "unhealthy looking" . Not a real good choice for "personality and career" categories though. Very difficult. |
