Songs to Represent: XVII The Star
Oooh, Child, Things Are Going to Get Easier- (I forget who did it...) No, Woman Don't Cry- Bob Marley Both songs emphasize the "And this, too, shall pass" message that is cedntral to the Star's meaning (/I/ think, anyway.) |

If I may throw in my 2 cents ^_^ "Choose somthing like a Star" By Robert Frost and put to music by- Randall Thompson. >.>; We sang it in HS Chorus..... At least I cant look at my star card without the last few lines running into my head. "It asks of us a certain height, So when at times the mob is swayed To carry praise or blame too far, We may choose something like a star To stay our minds on and be staid." EDIT: Google is my friend |

My post belonged to a different thread. No idea how it ended up here! __________________ I probably shouldn't be here. But this was the only universe with a vacancy. Last edited by Miss Divine; 24-05-2010 at 09:04. |

Wandering Star - Portishead Please could you stay awhile to share my grief For its such a lovely day To have to always feel this way And the time that I will suffer less Is when I never have to wake Wandering stars, for whom it is reserved The blackness of darkness forever Wandering stars, for whom it is reserved The blackness of darkness forever ... Those who have seen the needles eye, now tread Like a husk, from which all that was, now has fled And the masks, that the monsters wear To feed, upon their prey |

For me the Star primarily represents hope ... Three Little Birds - Bob Marley I Won't Let You Go - James Morrison We Found Love - Rihanna Don't Give Up - Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush I Believe - Stevie Wonder Hope There's Someone - Antony and the Johnsons |
