This was a great round Franniee. I wish I had been here to play more of it. Fascinating to read. Had to take an employee to dinner last night and today was BABY FISH. I love these long suspenseful rounds.

OK I quit - everyone go to wiki and read about him but you all did well - I kept harping on temperance because he had to mix and mingle throughout his reign with the right and left wing a war he ultimately lost and also when he was in exile he had to rely on temperence to get safe haven for treatment and residence and even his burial - he really had to walk a fine line in the end.

He was married 3 times - the first wife bore him a son - the second was supposedly his true love but she was barren - the third and final bore him 4 children.

He was the Ace of Swords and was usually pictured in military dress and he was the ultimate commander but he wasn't a militarist - i hope that part wasn't too misleading.

I don't get the hermit..... for him - maybe you guys can figure that one out for me.

He was revolutionary but he also was deposed and that was a tough road.

OK that was tough..... so now it is time for me to go back to the other side!

yes the shah of iran - mohammed reza pahlavi - was exiled and they brought the ayahtollah khomeni in - The shah was thrown out in january of 1979 and by that november the hostages were taken....

I had to bring it into photoshop and totally drop it down - make it physically smaller - like a 1/2 inch or so square and then reduce the file size - it was tricky! I think I may have also saved as a bmp and a jpeg. i have a mac and sometimes they don't play nice with the PCs.

I love fish too - I was thinking of a little koi pond or something or even one in the house - althought our cat might have other ideas for them....

I got patio furniture today with a firepit..... don't know what we are going to do with that but it will also double as an ice pit - so we can cool drinks and such!

OK you do it but you have to promise to pick someone that isn't obscure! You and TCO pick these odd people - although I am learning a lot of new things and people !!! Thanks to you guys!!!

Koi are beautiful. I love them, but they are illegal in my state in natural ponds, they multiply like rabbits and the state is afraid to hurt natural fish stocks. I have rainbow trout. I feed them and see them everyday in the warm weather. In the cold they hide under the ice. I lose a few every year to eagles.
OK I'll do the next one. I PROMISE you'll know her.

rainbow trout! my husband would love to have a pond we can could stock with them. he fishes for them, but only catch and release. i cannot stand the smell of fish cooking---so in this house, he rarely gets fish---except fish sticks!

OK, I draw four cards from the Voodoo Tarot, duly invoking Papa Legba...

4 of Cups... don't know if this relates to looks so much, but he may find himself on the fairish side... Liked the idea of a hermitage, a safe refuge... I get the idea of Cistercian Trappist monk, Thomas Merton...

Personality: Six of Pentacles _ lol! A mischievous childlike spirit indeed! Kind of a trickster or prankster _ That would fit my initial intuition of "Chop Suey Louie" _ with all his other innumerable poetic aliases!

Career: Ten of Pentacles _ Ochosi the Hunter _ on a never_ending voyage or quest _ the idea of the mystical monastic quest certainly fits!

Home etc: Shango (eight of Pentacles) _ originally very confused about family and even national allegiances (NZ mother _ American father _ born in France _ educated in England and later America) _ but found a stable "home life" within the confines of the Catholic monastic tradition in Our Lady of Gethsemane monastery KY USA?!!
