Brian Eno

I caught part of a programe on BBC Radio 2 the other night which talked about a deck of oracle type cards that Brian Eno has/is using (pretty vague I know) anyone catch it or know what it's all about?

Robin

Kind of interesting, although I've never had the money to buy it.

I've seen that too. Can't quite wrap my head around it enough to fork out even $70 for the fifth edition....

I'd be curious to see if anyone actually has one...?

The early editions were all plain black text on a white card. The complete text of every card is available online, so it would be easy to make your own deck, if you are so inclined (across all the editions, there is something like 150 distinctly different cards). I used to have an edition that I got for free that ran on my palm pilot (which I lost). The software is probably still available for free at palmgear.com

I understand that the newer editions have some artwork element to each card.... Still a hard sell at the price.

i love the oblique strategies. i have them as a widget on my mac, and as posts on twitter. all 5 sets would be worth every penny; they are more for brainstorming and creative work than "divination."

they are different methods of helping you get out of your own way.
