Forgive me if this question has been asked. Iv been searching the search engines and couldn't find a specific forum that directly told you.
My question is what do the numbers usually mean in the tarot of mersailles? I just got mine and I love it, even though interpretting the minor arcana is really challenging, especially the swords and wands. But I was wondering what do you guys use to interpret each number?

You can make a list like
1=
2=
etc.

You're actually free to do what you wish for each number. There's Pythagorean interpretation, freemasonry…there are a lot of different takes on the numbers.

None of them are completely correct and none are completely wrong.

You may wanna use this compilation as a starting point.

Hi Al, welcome to Aeclectic.

It took me a while to be comfortable with the way I use the numbers for the Marseilles, I found a system which suits me but even now I question it when I see somethig else which makes total sense to me. That's why it is difficult to give you definites in this.

You have a wonderful deck so spend some time researching numerology, just small stuff to start off with and expand on it if you want to. Also, have a browse through the Table of Contents here in the Marseilles forum, particularly the 'How May It Be Read' threads (post 4), which I hope will give you some idea of how some of us use our cards for reading. Having said that, you don't have to agree with how others read their pips, but it does give you information to think about.
