Tituba was actually born in Barbados Star! We are talking about the Salem withcraft trials. 2 Reasons I got it. First- I am in Salem all the time-lately doing my research. 2nd I am a direct descendant (8th great grandaughter of Mary Towne Estey, 9th great grandaughter of Rebecca Nurse, and great grandneice of 4 other Salem "swingers" and direct descendant of three who survived or who survived byaccusing others. Also a grandneice of Cotton Mather.) This is not unusual in a person with an old new England lineage on all sides. Most New Englanders with relatives who go back in four or five lines can trace ancestry to a Salem witch. They were closely related too- Rebecca Nurse and Mary Estey were sisters.
I never told this on the forum before because I thought no one would believe me or that people would think it was wild and weird. These women were not witches, and Salem is absolutely horrible at Halloween. If people are interested I would suggest they bypass Salem and take a tour of Rebecca Nurse's house in Topsham. There they can stand at the bottom of her tiny stairway and envision what is would have been like to have been dragged down by people you knew, excommunicated from the church you loved and thrown into a jail then executed. It was awful- really awful.

There is quite a story behind her.
oh boy, a hard one!

golden tarot

LOOKS:10 WANDS, 7CUPS REV., 8 SWORDS
this poor woman looks like she had a heavy burden to carry her life. hte 10wands does suggest a haevy burden on her. I htink maybe she was humped over, or possibly just looked like she was haggard. the 7cups rev. makes me feel like she was a loner, possiby a slave even, and looked like she was very despondant. the 8swords also gives the impression that she did not have a lot going for her. i also feel like there is a physical disability with her, but not sure if it is her eyes, as suggested w/8swords or her frame as is suggested with 10wands. she looked overworked, and did not seem to have much hope to escape that, why I feel she could have been a slave.

PERSONALITY:EMPEROR, 10SWORDS REV., 8 COINS REV.
well, this doesn't fare much better either. she may have had depression, or at least not much she felt to live for. the 10 swords rev. also gives the impression to me that she was beat down one time to many. the 8 coins rev shows me taht she worked for someone. I still get the feeling of a slave, or not much better then one.

CAREER: JUSTICE REV., HIEROPHANT REV., QUEEN WANDS REV
well this also doesn't seem to fare well with her. she was not one in charge, by the queen of wands rev. I feel there was someone over her tellin gher what to do and when to do it. the justice rev. also makes me feel like things did not seem fair for her---she had it rough, poss. doing for others. the hierophant rev. suggests to me that she may have suffered in her 'career' and looked over. something about her career makes me feel like she was judged harshly fo rit.

FAMILY: WORLD REV., EMPERESS REV., JUDGEMENT REV.
okay, world rev. and emperess tells me she was a mother, and loved her children, but I feel like either she lost them or they were taken from her. the these cards all make me feel sorry for her---something is quite sad in her life.
