Draining Amethyst? Sucking up the colour...

cheekyminx

One of the mums at work said that she can't wear Amethyst as she sucks the color up, she said it's weird, if she wears amethyst for the day the purple goes and the stone is left crystal looking with no purple colour what so ever. I said I didn't know why that could be, so am asking here if anyone would have an idea.

She must have a real need for the properties of amethyst within her electromagnetic field. At least that sounds good to me.
Does she do any other stone this way?

franniee

does the color come back after she takes it off???

Wow I am stunned! I LOVE amythest - never happened to me.

Thanks for the replies floracove and franniee

I'll have to ask her again next week (if I remember) she said it happens to her brother as well, both can't wear amethyst as the purple just disappears. I think she said the color never returns to the stone

I love amethyst too, glad it doest happen to me.

Properties of amethyst? Hmm interesting. Going to check crystal bible

I had a look in the crystal bible, didn't find anything. Would you happen to know which properties these would be?

Thanks :)

I'm wearing some now and it's just as purple as it was this morning. Hard to imagine how this could happen...might she have been pulling your leg?

No, I don't think so. We always have chats and she's a lovely lady. As floracove mentioned this lady could just be low on properties that amethyst provides. It does sound strange. If I remember next week I'll ask her again.

Thanks for the interest :D

I wonder if she's a healer?

Not to be the cynic.... but are the amethysts reputable? ^^;

Not to impugne anyone's honor, but irradiated or dyed stones can lose their color really fast depending on how they're done and what kind of environment.

I remember in high school some people's class rings lost color by graduation!

Perhaps gifting her with a trusted piece of amethyst would be a good way to run a controlled expirement.... and a lovely way to brighten some one's day. ^.^

Since her brother does the same thing it may be something in their chemical makeup.

Find out if they do this with other stones, just cause I'm curious...
Hope this helps.

You can do a search yourself to find more, just use keywords like "amethyst properties", "amethyst correspondences" or "amethyst healing properties"
