Napoleon's Pyramids
I've just started reading an exciting adventure novel called _Napoleon's Pyramids_ by William Dietrich (HarperCollins, 2007). It's about the expedition to Egypt by Napoleon in the final years of the 18th century. From the bookflap: "American adventurer Ethan Gage solves a five-thousand-year-old riddle with the help of a mysterious medallion." So far there has been a smattering of Tarot and gypsies (so, who cares if the Tarot was not used by gypsies that early - this is fiction!), and lots of Freemasonry, plus the Isean Tablet of Cardinal Bembo. Wow! If you want a fun read and lots of period color - this is it. Mary |

interesting... even if Napoleon only became a Freemason after the event. As you say, it is fiction after all
