I'm waiting for OnePotato to weigh in on these.
We're fairly certain he has essentially the same deck, but I believe his is the 1880 edition.
It would be interesting to see if his copy of the Ace of Batons, for example, exhibits the same printing error as mine (notice the broken and irregular borders):

mine came in decrepit box, it looks like a wreck (which I'll most likely discard. the pics of this disasterous looking container have been titled "shipwreck" in the photobucket album.
it's highly unlikely that this is the original box. in spite of the perfect fit, it seems that someone made a box to fit....and look at the rustic construction of the box. strings instead of hinges and nails instead of joints.
the lid is being held together by strapping tape and is yellowed and decayed beyond usefulness. (OK this is a job for WalesWoman, definitely LOL)
it's possible OnePotato has a part of the original box which he can describe for you. He also has the original booklet authored by Julia Orsini.
I also want to know how "Etteilla" is spelled on his deck.
According to Kaplan, a different edition of the Lismon (pre-1890?) omits one of the "T"'s.
enjoy!
everybody, please feel free to add comments
