You too probably have something with his name on it in your house. His invention was very prosaic, but it led to a whole "style"
You are sooooooo close.

Not the newsprint guy or Yosemite, but Smokey is warmish in a weird sort of way.

Fascinating! This is a very fun game Blackairplane!!! I have no idea who it is but you can bet my brain is working in overdrive.....can you see the smoke all the way up there in Me.?

how about Lloyd Groff Copeman?

Lloyd Groff Copeman?????? jeeze I had to look him up.but- that's what I love about this game as I now know that the grandfather of Linda Ronstadt invented the flexible ice cube tray ( TCO take note). But if you have something in your house that says Lloyd Groff Copeman on it I'll give ya 50 bucks.
My guy's name is a household word. Yes I smell smoke

I thought it was Carrier also, and first put his name down. then to double check on his bio, i googled inventor of ac & came up with John Gorrie.

Is it Willis Carrier? Now that I did the bio of JOhn Gorrie, he was probably a bit before an a/c is probable. He died in the mid 1800's. I think Carrier is more likely!

His invention does not generate heat- but conserves it. Toss a card and see if you get a visual TCO- maybe the fool with an ice cube tray or somethin like that

Yikes that reads soo mean and I didn't mean it- I just was thinking of Linda Ronstadts grandaddy and the ice cube tray and imagined the fool card with him carrying one..

Wow- another illusion shattered- and all these years I figured it was Carrier. What if SU had to play football under the Gorrie dome... that would be weird.

Nope not Carrier sorry. No electricity in my guys invention.
