OK well I am in the USA - New York to be exact.

FYI: I sent off my deck & book set to SuccessGoodHealth in CA from our last train ride and it cost me $ 6 or $7 .... I also posted a deck to India on another trade outside this game and was I DREADING the cost (I hate to pay for shipping!! I have no idea what my issue is but I HATE it) - I SO regretted agreeing to it but it was $14 which I didn't think was that awful! So just in case you guys are as clueless as I am regarding shipping....

I think putting restrictions on shipping and all is going to lead to confusion and trouble..... if the worst is $15 is that bad? I was expecting it to be $30-40 don't ask what I was thinking I even sent it air mail- first class or something of that sort.

Ahhhh...I don't get it. So if we send a deck from the US to, say May in India and the postage is more than $10 than what good is her currancy going to do me? Can't we just keep it simple and say a deck for a deck...the cost of shipping is the toll for riding???

I was speaking metaphorically I am getting the impression this cap is unpopular? and needlessly complicated?

Well there you have it, Franniee only paid 15.oo to India that is no big deal... Shall we cancel the "addumdum" Tell you what, ignore it, if anyone has a issue with post, email me privately and we will work it out, I want everyone to play and feel comfortable. Issue closed and cancelled.

I think shipping does become a problem internationally as it costs quite a bit even by airmail.

I once checked on how much it would be if I buy a deck off UK and it was expensive.

I would have to pay around $12-15 to ship it across anywhere in the world from India by airmail, can get more for bigger packages. Other services cost not less than $20.

I don't mind putting in a part of shipping if I pick a deck from someone who finds it extra cost.

My suggestion would be to not get into shipping details for everyone and we can take that up at individual level where it may be a concern.

On the subject of paying postage

Okay, I think the Universe has a way of evening things out.

For instance, I traded away a used deck, with a retail value of maybe $7 (in a trade to a local 2nd bookstore). I mailed it to India for $14.45. So, I invested a total of $21.45 in my trade.

What did I get in return?

An Indian Tarot!!! (from Canada, no less!!! )

Was it worth $21.45 to me?

Heck, yeah!!!!

Would I have paid $21.45 for it at my local 2nd hand bookstore?

You betcha!!! I would have grabbed it in a heartbeat, clutched it to my chest and scurried into the night (after I plunked down $21.45 plus sales tax).

In the final analysis, I have no idea what the monetary value of the Indian Tarot really is, but it doesn't matter, because I want it.

So, I think it's all good and will work out okay in the end as long as I trade for something I want and have fun along the way. (I love that adrenaline rush that comes with scoring a sweet deck in a trade!!! )

Laugh & be well,

c.s.

I paid 21 € = 28.8 USD to mail my deck and book to my exchange partner.
Basically I think that the Universe has a way to even things out, yes... And I am really really happy that the person I sent the book and deck to is really happy about it. It makes everything worthwile

However.. I think I will maybe offer just decks in the next round.. Or maybe, if there΄s a book I will mail the book surface mail and just the deck air mail?
