The OFFICIAL train deck trade III is ON.
The water tanks are being filled, the boilers readied and the stokers are stoking. This train leaves the 22, that is this Saturday, we would start about 12 noon Eastern or 9 am pacific, 9.30 pma in India, 12 pm in hong-kong, 7pm in Finland, 6 pm in Germany, around 2pm in Australia and around 5pm in GB. This starting time would make it as reasonable as it can be given the diversity of locations the train will have to stop at. Check your times in your zones! The official start time after crunching compromises and wants is HIGH NOON Eastern. For those just checking us out of thinking of joining read the yellow text below. ITINERARY: From the sign up list of riders, we will generate a random order of Stations. This itinerary will determine the order in which you will post your decks to trade. But you can CHOOSE at any time. This itinerary will be posted at the top of the thread along with a record all of the completed trades... SPEED OF THE TRAIN: We spend 24 hours maximum at each station (i.e. person listing decks) before moving on to the next station. If/when someone picks a deck, the next person/station can list as fast as they want. So you have to stay on your toes and in theory we could go through the whole train in an afternoon. OFFERING DECKS: You may list as many as you like, but but will only trade one. Everyone who trades a deck will get to choose a deck. Any type of deck is suitable: Majors only, Pip decks, Oracles, Sets, along with tarot 78 card decks are welcome. This is a chance to expand our horizons for the cost of post. And remember, offering a better selection encourages every station to offer a better selection themselves to insure they'll place a deck. It's a win/win! SELECTING A DECK: You can choose your deck at any time from any rider, but once you have chosen you may not choose again. If you choose a deck you must trade a deck to close your deal. NO TAKERS?: Feel free to tweak your offerings during the 24 hours of your station. If no one chooses any of your decks within 24 hrs the train moves on to the next person/station below you on the itinerary. You will have a chance to list new trades later as when the list reaches the bottom it will go through a second time, starting at the top with the first person who has not had a deck picked from his list. UNCOMPLETED TRADES: What If someone picks a deck, but the person that listed their choice fails to choose a deck for themselves? Unfortunately then the person that picked that deck would lose that deck. This sure will add some butterfly style excitement. At this point that person that lost their first choice would have a opportunity to re-choose in the second go-a-round. FINISHING YOUR RIDE: After you have listed, traded away a deck, and accepted a deck you are off the train, but feel free to participate in the chatter. After you finish a trade please leave your decks posted for at least another 24 hrs so all those aboard can browse what they missed... END OF THE LINE: No decks will be sent until all trades in the chain are complete or the train finishes two laps. This insures no one will be left out and also gives train members something to look forward to/worry about in the days ahead. YOU CAN'T LOSE!: You only give a deck if you get one. If after the second round you have not managed a trade you are off of the train, nothing lost or gained, unless you accepted a deck, you would lose that, And that train member would re-list. JOINING THE TRAIN: EDIT EDIT Sign up ends on or about September 22th. EDIT EDIT You can sign up starting now. Also, anyone may join the Train at any time before the train reaches the THIRD TO LAST person of the FIRST ROUND. Then the train closes: no more tickets It is that easy. As others can attest, these trains are fun and exciting. Scion and myself will be the conducting and any questions pertaining to the mechanics of the game should be pm'ed to one of us. TALK: In-game chatter is highly encouraged. So there you have it! Still time to join! __________________ Full cup, steady hand. Research is what I'm doing when I don't know what I'm doing. Ah! My compartment seems to be 4. No one else here yet. IŽve been sitting on the soft red velvet sofa, waiting, admiring the scenery from the window, taking out my travel journal, nodding off a bit.. Now IŽll go to the bar car to get a cold beer because it is FRIDAY ![]()

Found my compartment, but I think the djembe is going to spend more time in it than I will... K...stumbling down the hall....to breakfast. Scones sound good! And oatcakes this morning with salmon and cucumber. And coffee - Morticia style (maybe even with a little chicory today )Then I think I might just sit and stare... __________________ And March, the mad scientist, brings a new change in ever-dancing colours. ...Scion wakes up this morning to a pianissimo "Crazy Train" on strings from the next car... Refreshing, but also subtly disturbing and invigorating: like skipping the coffee and just eating the grounds. Superb.Outside the window, The Crowned One is walking the length of the train outside, checking the undercarriage and the new paintjob. From Guiding Cauldron's compartment a few doors down, I can hear hammering and humming and muffled clatter that sounds like she's building something large out of marshmallows. A deck display for later perhaps? The scent of Franniee's bagels and the thought of an eyeopener gets me onto my feet, into my uniform. I look out the window and notice that the newest member of the staff, Valeria, has pulled the sleaming train into the station and passersby are gawking at the polish and the bizarre assortment of packages, snacks, and libations being loaded. With a polish of my buttons, I screw my cap on my head and I'm down the carriage whistling Osbourne... past Hemera who's made a pyramid out of brown bottles in the bar. A few pops on a djembe and Grip's monkey shrieks from somewhere close by. It's gonna be another wild one.

Oh, my word, Scion! What a writer you are! (Clapping hands smiley here..) That was BRILLIANT! I could see the whole thing. TCO walking the tracks...what a visual! valeria confidently pulling our train into the station. And you making sure you're tidy (seemingly proud of that uniform!) before you step out into the body of the train. Like any good conductor you already know ALL that's going on around you, whilst we are all just happily and unconsciously being ourselves. We are indeed off to a great start! __________________ And March, the mad scientist, brings a new change in ever-dancing colours. And April is summer-bound, and February's blue.
