I really appreciate everyone's feedback...your encouraging words are inspiring! As far as how I plan to anthropormorhize the animals, you can see an example here: http://www.carisaswenson.com/shaman.html |

Your artwork is absolutely gorgeous! The original card has a lovely feel of an ancient forest. The other one is beautifully detailed and magical. I love both styles, to be honest with you! But one can never have enough animal decks! I prefer your artwork to the Animal Lords. It is more natural and believeable....more woodsy!

I love love love that Shaman card too - I was afraid it might be one of those decks with animals in aprons or funny hats ![]() I agree with HearthCricket, everything you added looks very natural. The colours and the artwork are just gorgeous, I am looking forward to seeing more ! __________________ If you talk to the animals they will talk with you and you will know each other. Count me in - this is great! Personally I think there aren't enough really interesting animal decks around. __________________ The Magic Realist Press and Baba Studio Tarot of Prague Baroque Bohemian Cats' Tarot Fairytale Tarot Fantastic Menagerie Tarot Victorian Flower Oracle Victorian Romantic Tarot Bohemian Gothic Tarot Alice Tarot - 2013 |

I LOVE this card, too! Put me on the pre-order list! I agree both styles are beautiful, and any fear of too much flounciness/frilliness is gone. |
