I really appreciate everyone's feedback...your encouraging words are inspiring!
As far as how I plan to anthropormorhize the animals, you can see an example here:

Your artwork is absolutely gorgeous! The original card has a lovely feel of an ancient forest. The other one is beautifully detailed and magical. I love both styles, to be honest with you! But one can never have enough animal decks! I prefer your artwork to the Animal Lords. It is more natural and believeable....more woodsy!

I love love love that Shaman card too - I was afraid it might be one of those decks with animals in aprons or funny hats
I agree with HearthCricket, everything you added looks very natural.
The colours and the artwork are just gorgeous, I am looking forward to seeing more !

Count me in - this is great! Personally I think there aren't enough really interesting animal decks around.

Wow

Both cards are drop dead gorgeous.

I own a bunch of animal decks...but yours speaks to me on a whole different level.

Your art is absolutely stunning.

PLEASE please continue...I want your deck.
Very badly!

Talking Go for it!

I LOVE this card, too! Put me on the pre-order list! I agree both styles are beautiful, and any fear of too much flounciness/frilliness is gone.
