Protection from bad computer juju?

I've heard there are many stones that, if placed on a computer or laptop, can protect the user from negative energy coming from the machine (called EMR, I think?). Rumor says tourmaline or spirit quartz...I personally use lepidolite.

Any suggestions or experience?
