Did I hear someone mention Major Fudge Farrington??
Ooooh Major, what a great pleasure to meet you here! We have met in India, do you remember? I am Madame Sylva Arcana. My late husband was Dr. Arcana. I believe he and your dear departed father discovered some very interesting medicaments in India? [lowering her voice]Or maybe I should not have mentioned this..
Anyway, It is such a pleasure to finally meet some *decent* people. Between you and I, this is a most extraordinary train. Some people here almost scare me. Things arenīt what they used to be in the good old days, donīt you agree dear Major?

May I join you? It is time for my little evening brandy, for a weak heart, you see. Itīs just medicinal..
Waitress Dear, you know the kind I like, donīt you?
Such excellent service in this train. Ooh, and these soft chairs are big enough to sit comfortably. Some modern bars have such small and unstable chairs, donīt you agree. My dear husband never approved of those modern bars and discos and whatnot..

"So sorry, dear lady! Here are your knitting needles. I was wondering what was sticking up my - ah, yes, what? Harrumph." Fudge blushes beetroot red.

"Just plain Fudge Farrington, ladies. M'late father wanted me to go into the army, but I had flat feet, they didn't want me. Was it India, Madame Arcana? The company sent me there for a spell, but the climate didn't suit me at all, not at all, what? M'father loved the place, of course, he was born there. Delighted to renew our acquaintance, what? You must excuse my failing memory. Lost m'marbles, y'know, as my Isobel would have said. Did I take care of your insurance? I feel I must have with those magnificent sapphires of yours. Match your eyes to perfection, Madame. My Isobel had blue eyes...Fudge dabs his eyes again. You remember Mrs Farrington, Madame? I lost her ten years ago. But life goes on, what?

Brandy all round, waiter, and make it two doubles for me! I'm in a celebratory mood with all these lovely ladies around me!"

Oh you are too kind Maj.. ..Fudge. You make me blush.[giggles]
Yes, these sapphires are from India.
Maybe you did insure them for us. My husband always took care of such mundane things, you know, so I have no idea really..

Oh, Mrs Farrington has passed away. How very sad. My condolences. I remember her quite well, in fact . She had those marvellous parties back in the good old days.. I remember those velvety Indian nights. And she had that fabulous double pearl necklace, too. Was it stolen later, I canīt remember clearly.

My husband had a very succesful practice in Harley Street. But I lost him three years ago. So sad. He had a nice life insurance, though. Maybe you took care of that ,too? So, thanks to it, now I am free to travel.

May I introduce you to my Nurse Johnson? She always travels with me. I have a weak heart, you see.
Now whereīs that brandy?

Ladies and gentleman, the engine is nearly repaired and we should be underway shortly.

The Security staff for the train had some significant concerns and I have sent a message to each of you privately (and in some cases 2 messages ) Please read and respond at your earliest possible convenience. If everyone "comes clean" with me, we'll be moving in no time. And do not discuss these internal communications with your comrades; you might... regret it.

We are aiming for a departure this coming week with the only delay being these final preparations. If you have any questions or require additional assistance please be so good as to let me know. Forewarned is forearmed.

The manifests at the top of the thread have been updated; if your name does not appear in the appropriate list please let the staff know.

"Top ho conductor! You're doing a splendid job, what?"

Leers again at the dark Aulruna, then turns back to Madame Arcana, his small eyes flicking from her sapphires to her eyes.

"How kind of you to remember that my Isobel gave splendid parties, dear Madame, and you remember her pearl necklace too, given by the Maharanee, what? What a keen memory, dear Madame. Alas, yes, it was stolen. Can you believe that those fiends robbed my house during the night as I was mourning Isobel, and made away with her jewellery box? Fortunately, much of her valuables were in the bank, and all of it was insured. Fudge Farrington won't fudge such things! I'm delighted your poor husband had life insurance, so many husbands forget to do the decent thing, what? But I don't remember selling it to him as most of my clients were ladies, m'dear - but as you know, my memory..."

...Making my way through the hallway I can hear passengers rummaging in their cabins. Busy bunch!

In preparation for this journey I just snagged a few extra Tarots by hook and by crook. Even though I'm only staff. with this many fierce collectors on board, it pays to have bait. I sense big bunnies in these woods.

What time is it? OMG it is night again! Don't know what happened today since that nice man offered me a brandy in my morning coffee. Best I go to my cabin and see if I remember anything that may have happened today. Let me see, if my wallet is still there. I did bring it this morning didn't I...?

WE will be setting up the randomization of the game shortly. Please check the first page for your listing orders in the trade side. It will be re-listed on the "new" thread coming to us all in a very few short days. A wonderful time is in the works.

Franniee and Scion.. Please Look for your usual PMs for the help I need in making this random.

Oh, I always think that the waiting is part of the pleasure . . . rather like going to the theatre and waiting for the curtain to go up, you know . . .

Tell me, Major . . . I'm sorry . . . Mr. Farrington, do you go to the theatre much these days?
