1. What spread do you use the most? Celtic Cross, I only use the additional fan when I don't understand a card(s) connection to the rest of the spread. 2. How many spreads do you know by heart? Calendar, cross of truth, past-present-future, celtic cross. 3. Do you think it is important to have a variety of spreads for reading? having about 3 in your repertoire is ideal, just the one spread can't coer everything. For example, if you don't have a question in mind, using the cross is a bit redundant, where as the Life spread can't pick up detail of circumstances easily. 4. If you read for others, do you have spreads you only use for yourself? spreads you only use for others? I don't do many readings for friends, mostly myself, but when I do I would tend to keep it simple, to keep their attention for that long, and if they have more questions I can go into other spreads. 5. What is the most useful spread you have? The Celtic Cross. I find it rarely strays from the path when asked a direct question. Even the most seemingly detached card can prove it's purpose via the readers fan. 6. What defines a useful spread for you? One that covers a range of both vague and direct questions. 7. Where do you go to find new spreads? I'm still quite the novice, and I haven't even explored most of the spreads I know. |

1. What spread do you use the most? my celtic cross 2. How many spreads do you know by heart? about 10 3. Do you think it is important to have a variety of spreads for reading? yes and no. depends on what the querent is asking. a good basis of about 5 various spreads is usually more then enough but I have had readings where I only used 1 then did some little 3 carders to touch on different things. 4. If you read for others, do you have spreads you only use for yourself? spreads you only use for others? I have a daily spread that I created just for me, I share it but do not read that one for others. there are tons of spreads that I have done for others and not for me, but would if the situation arose 5. What is the most useful spread you have? my yes/no spread 6. What defines a useful spread for you? not just answers the question but gives information about how to make it happen or how to change the unwanted outcome 7. Where do you go to find new spreads? Aeclectic spread index to get ideas mostly, the ones that I use the most are ones that I either made myself or 'tweeked' from another one to work best for me __________________ Security is mostly a superstition. Its good for the querent, for the cards and for the reader of course. 4. If you read for others, do you have spreads you only use for yourself? spreads you only use for others? No. 5. What is the most useful spread you have? Celtic Cross, One Card, Three Cards. 6. What defines a useful spread for you? 1. What spread do you use the most? Right now, since i've just begun with the tarot, I mostly just do a daily card reading though I practice with other spreads I hear of. 2. How many spreads do you know by heart? 1, the 3 card mind-body-spirit spread. Yes I know i'm a tarot noob. Everyone starts out a noob at some point right? lol 3. Do you think it is important to have a variety of spreads for reading? Yes, at least a few for different types of questions or situations. I like variety. 4. If you read for others, do you have spreads you only use for yourself? spreads you only use for others? I'm just working on learning to read for myself at the moment, hopefully I can eventually get to a point I can read for others as well. 5. What is the most useful spread you have? I actually found the mind-body-spirit connection spread quite useful as for a small 3 card spread it can tell you quite a bit and is still small enough that this beginner isn't overwhelmed. 6. What defines a useful spread for you? Not so big as to be overwhelming to me as a beginner. Up to 5 cards maybe. 7. Where do you go to find new spreads? Books, internet, this forum |

1. What spread do you use the most? Knowing, Illumination, Blind Spot 2. How many spreads do you know by heart? Knowing, Illumination, The Churchyard, Dark of the Moon, Celtic cross... so 5-7 I think 3. Do you think it is important to have a variety of spreads for reading? I find for some of the people I read for that have never had a reading that the celtic cross is very handy because it is so general, I do enjoy doing other spreads because I find it interesting how my cards react to different questions/spreads 4. If you read for others, do you have spreads you only use for yourself? spreads you only use for others? no, I don't even have cards just for me... I usually have a friend read for me so that I am not confusing myself 5. What is the most useful spread you have? I think they all have a purpose, the Knowing Spread is very helpful and the Month Ahead Spread I have that covers 4-5 weeks and I use 2 decks with meaning Tarot and Oracle together 6. What defines a useful spread for you? something that flows well and gives good ground cover on the subject or question 7. Where do you go to find new spreads? here on the forum or I create my own and share them on here too. some come from books I currently have a book of about 30 (I had over 100 and I started to cut down to the ones I made or found most useful

1. What spread do you use the most? 2. How many spreads do you know by heart? 5. What is the most useful spread you have? none - most of the times i make them up particularly for the reading, letting the logic of the question guide me as well as intuition. i just make sure to make any spread decisions BEFORE i start the reading. sometimes after a reading i offer the option of moving the cards around ("what would happen if we moved the king of swords to the LEFT of the page of cups? let's see what happens.") 3. Do you think it is important to have a variety of spreads for reading? absolutely - probably obvious from my answers to 1 and 2 ![]() 4. If you read for others, do you have spreads you only use for yourself? spreads you only use for others? once in a while i do a celtic cross for myself. i've only done celtic cross for others once or twice 6. What defines a useful spread for you? one that directly corresponds to the question. e.g. "what do i need to know about my relationship with X?" might be a 3-card spread - i, X, and the relationship. 7. Where do you go to find new spreads? anywhere and everywhere but i rarely find spreads that appear to be more useful than the ones i design particularly for the question. |

The celtic cross because there are so many different variations, it can be used for any type of situation. 6. What defines a useful spread for you? I would define a useful spread as something readable, not too complicated, relevant to the topic, and one that does not take up too much space. 7. Where do you go to find new spreads? 1. What spread do you use the most? A 3x3 cards spread that seems to make sense only to me 2. How many spreads do you know by heart? 20+ (some of which I doubt I'll ever find useful) 3. Do you think it is important to have a variety of spreads for reading? If chosen well, one spread should provide plenty information unless it leads to more questions. 4. If you read for others, do you have spreads you only use for yourself? spreads you only use for others? I never use CC for myself and I rarely use a new, untried spread when reading for someone else. 5. What is the most useful spread you have? A 33-card tree of psychospiritual health (tree of life type) 6. What defines a useful spread for you? One you can read like a book rather than a dictionary entry. One where you see most of the context. 7. Where do you go to find new spreads? I develop my own a lot of the time based on some loose system I have in my head, but I like to get inspired in books and also this forum |
