i'm the first? cool!

Who was he? The Devil. An oppressor, a dictator. A truly evil man. George W. Bush.

the end.

No, just kidding. I'll continue.

Personality: 9 of Cups. Satisfied, smug, proud of himself. self-indulgent.

Occupation: Wheel of Fortune. A life-changer. Clarification: King of Swords Reversed. Military leader, war leader, terrorist... something inhumane.

Most popular in history for: Three of Wands reversed. His unrealistic expectations, unmanifested dreams.

What part of the world was he from: Southeast... somewhere on the Asian continent?

How did he die? 10 of Swords. Stabbed in the back.

He sounds like a nasty guy.

Now now... Anyway, he was oppressed, declared an outlaw.

Smug, can't really say. The rest fits.

Life changer is good; was a war leader against the Jacobites, became something of a "local" terrorist I suppose having to fight to get back something that was taken.

He died without getting back what was taken, was forced to surrender.

Nope. Head back the other way.

In a manner of speaking, yes, but not literally. Something precious to him was taken and he spent the rest of his life fighting to get it back. When he was forced to surrender, he lost his will to live.

Great read!!

Environment/Lifestyle:
3 of Swords

He lived in a time of great heartache and pain, and I'm thinking he lost a close loved one early in life... his mother?

Occupation/Vocation:
XIV: Temperence

His vocation involved bringing disparate elements together to create something strong. You mentioned that he was a war leader, so I'm thinking the elements were his troops, with various skills and political views, coming together under one banner underneath him for a common purpose.

Weaknesses:
IX: The Hermit

He was lonely and kept himself apart from others, and that sense of being alone had some debilitating effect on him (not 'schmoozing' up to authorities or playing the social political game).

Talents:
Knight of Pentacles

He was good at focusing on the practicalities of the situation - he didn't function on the level of high ideals, but on that of securing home and physical possessions and on ensuring those underneath him had their basic survival needs met.

Health/Physical Concerns:
Ace of Pentacles

He was wounded but not fatally, but the injury plagued him - able to function, but in pain.

Relationships:
8 of Swords

He felt his loved one were held hostage to events, and his motivations for action were attempts to free them.

Obstacles faced:
IV: Emperor

His biggest obstacle was the ruling authority of his region. Was he a rebel?

Achievements:
Queen of Cups

His biggest achievement had to do with acting out of loving concern for those he had charge of. Even if he didn't succeed, the compassion he felt for them has gone down in history. I'm also thinking he had a relationship with a woman he loved, and she may have been what he personally regarded as his biggest achievement.

Death:
XIX: The Sun

He died as a hero, but again, I'm thinking an execution - was he burned?

That's what I thought, too, except he couldn't possibly have been fighting *against* the Jacobites.

But it was the Jacobites who were trying to get the throne back, so they were the real terrorists but they failed in that final battle, I think Culloden Moor.

Right, but Charlie was a Jacobite. Until his return for that battle, he spent his life in exile on the continent. The "Jacob" in question was...what? his father or grandfather.

James Stuart was his father who had claims to the throne before Bonnie so both could be classed as trying to get something that was taken from them back, and both would have been classed as outlaws from English justice.

Yes, he lost his mother when he was a young man (app. 20), then lost his father to a broken heart very shortly after.

Oh yes, in two very different instances.

Definitely didn't schmooz the authorities, he fought against them. Was declared an outlaw by those authorities and isolated because of it.

Perfect! He definitely had a basic sense of justice, he just wasn't in a good position to get that justice without having to fight for it.

Some fictional accounts say that he received a wound in his side that plagued him for the rest of his life, but I can't find that in any historical accounts so I can't really say for sure.

Local rebel, outlaw fighting for justice against the ruler of his own area of the world. Local sentiments about him now classify him as a "Robin Hood."

Yep! Deeply rooted sense of honor, cared for everyone in his charge as best as he could. Family was extremely important to him and he loved his wife and children dearly.

He died as a local hero and was pardoned by the authorities before he died, but he died in his own bed around the age of 60-65. They have differing accounts as to what year he was actually born, but they do know what year he died.

Great read, le fey!
