So far, have you read any badly written tarot books/tarot books you'd advise others to avoid, and for what reasons? __________________ The voices are telling me to stab you with a spoon. |

the jungian tarot and its archetypal imagery by robert wang. the book and deck describe women in a very negative light. there's a thread somewhere in the archives that goes into a lot of depth about this deck. __________________ i'm convinced that the negative has power and if you allow it to perch in your house, in your mind, in your life, it can take you over. those negative woreds climb into the furniture and the next thing you know they are on your skin. a negative statement is like poison. maya angelou |

Well, for me, I've never liked Eden Gray's books, although some beginners do. To me,they seem deceptively simple, as if they're too dumbed down. Another one is Eileen Connolly-her books give out weird interpertations on some cards, and has rhymes to remember that seemed to me to confuse you instead. Also, she is very dogmatic, whereas I don't always beleive you have to actually write down some question before a reading. I like Pollack's books, and a good one just to read up on various interpertations in Louis' books. Reading a variety of authors gave me new perpectives, and it's good to see how other people view it, even if I didn't happen to agree with them.... |

There's one that I think is called Tarot in Ten Minutes --- sorry, can't be done. There's also one with a green cover with the word Beginners in the title that I disliked so much that I have forgotten the title. -- Kyrielle __________________ Bailo en este lienzo de dolor Funambulo sin mapa ni brujula La dulce locura mi solo refugio Nazco en la sombra del payaso -- Benoit Jutras, "Quidam" |
