she got a message saying check back around Feb 9th? So she couldn't join up. I told her I'd ask to see what was going on.

Hi Cheekyminx,

When someone joins, the membership has to be processed manually by Solandia. She is away for vacation until Feb. 8. Here is her announcement, in which she talks about what is available.
