Need a book on spiritual meaning of flowers

memries

I did look in AT and there is one site which shows some and a good Symbol site.

I am looking for a book or website that gives the information and meaning of all flowers and not necessarily going by the botanical name as I don't know them anyway. I am thinking of wild flowers but all will do.

Can anyone recommend an informative book like that. I know we have them all over now on the meaning of crystals but flowers ? I have not found much.

Or if you know something you believe from your Culture or past I would really be interested in hearing about it. Thanks very much.

Hi memries. I have a book here that is called THE MAGIC OF HERBS by David Conway and in it is a section SAY IT WITH FLOWERS.Years ago there was a message in every flower just like one red rose says "I love you" all the flowers had a similar message and they are listed with their meanings, not so much spiritual eg.PANSY (purple) Memories.I treasure the happy times we had together. MARIGOLD. you have no reason to feel jealous...and things like that.

Thanks very much, I will check them all out. Also thanks for the websites that make life so easy.

I was going to put some flowers in my deck Mystic Mal and know what I want but not the meaning so it will be helpful.

Specifically I was looking for Indian Paint Brush but the only thing I could find out was that is was part of the Milkweed Family which is a good clue I shall pursue. We had tons of Monarch Butterflies in the field as they eat and live on Milkweed. I never knew that for years.

It seems to me I read something interesting about Milkweed so will have to look it up again.

You found it Bohdran. It was in the last flower blends site.

Indian Paintbrush..regaining lively, energetic, creative and exhuberant artistic activity.

That is so great. I did not read all the others yet but I will. Thank you.

It looks like you may have your answer already, but I figured I'd mention Nature-Speak: Signs, Omens & Messages in Nature by Ted Andrews has a section on flowers.

Indian Paintbrush isn't in it, but Milkweed is. The keynote for Milkweed is "time for transition; do things in your own unique way". The text indicates this flower is quite important to the monarch butterfly.

I am not sure if I have that Ted Andrews book or not. It seems to me I bought it but just cannot see it. In any case I know I have not read it.
Thank you. Yes I understand Monarch Butterflies eat them (larvae) and I think use them for whatever they do. We had a large field and it always had a lot of them as well as those little white butterflies you always see flying together.

There are so many references for me to look up. It will be fun. My computer is now restored to tip top shape. It was the modum so that was not too bad.

Hi Memries!
I thought I mention the little deck called Flower Spirit Cards by Melanie Eclare.
It hasabsolutely beautiful cards; photographs no bordersonone side and a short affirmation on the other.
The deck has 4 suits: Bulbs, anuals, perenials and wildflowers. Each suit has 11 cards.
What is even better is that I found my coppy in a bargain book shop for $ 4.99!!
