I feel like she was very spiritual and connected to God. She looks like she’s draped in white from head to toe or at least head to knee caps. I don’t think she was really seen without her “cover”. LOL, not even sure how real she was or a figment of the imagination more than anything, like one can only imagine what she looked like. These crosses and doves and wings definitely give me a religious feel for her, like she was an angel of mercy.
She lived in a time where women wore long dresses- to the ground. to show your ankles was considered scandalous--and she would do so when the time was needed! but, yes, she was never really seen w/o her 'cover'. it is interesting you see white, as there is one major situation she put herself in, and she was wearing white! very good! however, don't concentrate on the religious feel, as this isn't going to help you with her. an angel of mercy--yes and no. in her opinion yes!

She wouldn’t exactly reach out but more waited to be reached out to but still kept herself at a distance. Maybe it was waiting for the right time or something.
very good! the things she did were kept secret as much as possible and she was able to pull it off! she had to work very hard at this tho. she did have to wait for the right moments too-for the right time to come forward. timing was everything in this situation. very good!

I’m wondering if she is celebrated or honored for something she did. It seems like maybe her job was one of a kind and her memory lives on. Lol, I don’t know what exactly she did though. A holy rolling dress maker?
no, she was not of royalty lines, and there was not a son involved. she is celebrated and honored for what she did. her memory does lives on as a result--she made history really. very good again!

She might have even been connected to a charity for families with hardships, any way there is someone here reaching out with a handful of money
yes, she was separated from her family at times as a result of her actions. she was mostly separated from her father, which brought her to what she is known for. she is connected to families going through hardships--her own family were among these. she was reaching out, but not w/money. you are close!

no---nothing about Africa. she was married a few times, and one husband was somewhat unwittingly involved in her deeds.

these deeds now, they were not necessarily 'bad', but some saw them as such. she meant them as good---and payed a heavy price for that.

well, the 'thing' she is really known for was not quite a 'career' per se. and you aer right, it was still not considered 'proper' for a female to be involved in it.

Hope you are feeling better soon, B.A.! Ya know, I sort of recall that game TCO did--I don't recall if I did participate or not, but I recall reading it anyways. I may have participated, I have played most of these since about MP #7!!!!

Interesting note--my husband has a however many great great+ grandmother who was condemned as a witch back then during the Salem witch trials. She was in prison for awhile, a long while- but they didn't hang her or burn her at the stake, she was rich--and she bought all the judges off! Thank God, or maybe I'd be an old maid today!!! Her name is actually in a book, which talks about most of the 'witches' and we have it, (had to buy it!), but I cannot recall it right now.

There were many who were imprisioned, and some who got out of being accused by naming others. I am descended from 3 or 4 of them. There was also one man, who is a direct ancestor of Walt Disney ( how cool is that).
Your hub might be descended from Sarah Towne Cloyce. She survived and was brutally imprisoned, she was a sister to my two- Rebecca Towne Nurse and Mary Towne Estey. But Sarah is fairly well known, she was in a movie called Three Soverigns for Sarah and Vanessa Redgrave played her.
If Sarah Cloyce is the one- then your hub and I are cuzzies. Everyone in New England are cuzzies- MY husband says thats why there are no fashion models from New England
