Tarot books by Jane Lyle
Jane Lyle is a favorite tarot-author of mine, but I was just wondering how many books she has written and which ones you prefer by her? I find that many times books by the same author have a repetitive character, if you have one you have them all so to speak. Is this the case with Jane Lyle too? So far I have The Lovers Tarot, both the 78-card edition and the 22-card edition companion book by her, and think they are both great. What is your opinion? |

She wrote a very nice book that comes with the Thunderbay set...strangely the book is about the Rider Waite deck, but the cards that come with the set are a Marsielles deck. But the book is very interesting and well done...the set is quite inxpensive $12.99. A nice little Marsielles photo reprint deck too...well worth picking up. __________________ But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you, And loved the sorrows of your changing face. W. B. By no means an expert here, but I have the companion book Jane Lyle wrote for The Secret Tarot. While I'm not crazy about the deck, I found the book to be enlightening, well-written and very easy to comprehend. I like the way this author writes. __________________ I never bend, fold, or mutilate. Unless I'm in a hurry. |

I have the book "The Fortune Teller's Deck", which is about Playing Cards reading, not tarot. While i'm not a big fan of her method (i prefer the Playing Card Oracles much more), the book is very interesting and well written. Besides, it's all colorful ![]() I think she's a good writer

Thanks for all your replies! There seems to be several titles by her that sound similar, like "Tarot", "The Key to the Tarot" and "The Illustrated Book of Tarot". Are they all the same book with different titles or completely different? The Illustrated Book of Tarot seems to be included with the set you mention, lark. |
