Historical Ground For Regards Interpretation
Hello all, My Tarot approach is both historical and esthetic. I wonder if anybody could help me in my questionning about interpretation of Tarot by using cards's regards. Do you know wich book( books) refers to this regards as for interpreting T __________________ Yves Le Marseillais Nobody is above obligation to tell truth. Sorry by I make a wrong entry...;(( o finish my sentence: I said that I would like to know some books or authors references who talked about or highlighted importance of regards in Tarot spreads. I suspect that this "law of regards" is as old as tarot decks because it is natural for me and i suppose for each amatore and/or professional. Thanks for your assistance, Yves __________________ Yves Le Marseillais Nobody is above obligation to tell truth. Personne n'est au dessus de l'obligation de dire la vérité. |

Hi Yves, does "regards" mean "which way a figure is looking"? Left or right, or straight ahead? I don't know anything, but lots of people here should. Ross __________________ ΑΓΕΩΜΕΤΡΗΤΟΣ ΜΗΔΕΙΣ ΕΙΣΙΤΩ Trionfi http://trionfi.com Tarot Essays http://www.angelfire.com/space/tarot |

Hello Ross and Egim, Thanks for your collaboration. I means regards as way figures are looking: Up, down ect.. Philippe camoin for exemple use this law of looks in his courses (to whom I took part in). He give some exemples on his web site. As I said, we all have tendancy to act this way when interpreting a spread but.. when and whère was this manner initiated ?? Hello Yves: As you know tons of books were written about this topic. As once I said to Enrique Enriquez after many many years I allways return to a little book wrote by Tchalai Unger (originally in French,so you re a lucky man) named "The Tarot:Why ?,How ?,Until Where ? " (Now re edited in Argentine as "The tarot:The answer of the future" (For me a clumsy title with regard to the original) I expect be useful to you. PS / On one mail I sent to you I mentioned T. Unger "Motto" : "TAROT IS IN THE TAROT" Eugim |

Historical Grounds For Regards Interpretation
Hello Eugim, Thanks for this about Tchalai. She was a Master of Alessandro Jodorowsky (and so Philippe Camoin by extension let say) and is a good answer to my question. But I wonder also about more ancient authors from past. Thanks Yves __________________ Yves Le Marseillais Nobody is above obligation to tell truth. Yves: Not Jodorowsky (On his tedious and "Ego trip " book La vie du tarot ) nor Camoin were been grateful with Unger for this. At least Jodorowsky never mentioned Unger on his book,I don t know if Camoin "came on" with this. Looking back I could suggest to you Gwen Le Scouezec or Gerard van Rijneberk. I also heard about Joseph Maxwell but never found any book here in Argentine. Also I regret not found books of the last two I mentioned here and just only paragraphs on the Net. But if you want to go more far surely Mr. Caldwell is your best option for best information than this. Eugim |

And I have to say that also Philippe Camoin never mentionned Tchalai Unger during his courses where I attended to. And anywhere too as far as I know. This is life my friend and you know like me that many "creators" prefers to act as number One in any of their acts. ignoring by this what they took from their master and or other people they met or ... read. Thanks for Gwen Le Scouezec I do not knows him. I will look for titles. For Joseph Maxwell and Gerard van Rijneberk I am well fiited because I have and read their books (they are in french sorry for you). If you need some pages of them tell it to me I could assist you. but I know only english as foreign language. And you know frencyh bad reputation for foreign languages.
