I just noticed the following open source software package: SymSolon, created by Bela Mihalik.

Can you tell me what the concept is behind this software? It looks as if the horoscope (natal) is being somehow "translated" into a spread which contains some number of tarot cards. Is this linked to just one tarot deck in particular, or can other decks be "swapped" into the program? What is the basis for turning a chart into a spread? Is the tarot deck shown in the "screen shots" more of an Oracle deck than a Tarot deck or does the spread-position titles come from the program's conversion of th horoscope into a spread? Dave

Hi Dave,

This software is designed specifically for the Symbolon Deck. That deck is based on astrology.

Normally, you would use the symbolon deck to investigate your natal chart, but now this software can be used to make the investigations in a quick and detailed manner...

Detailed instructions on how to use the deck to interpret your natal chart are desccribed in Peter Orban's books (in german only)
