The Empress seems pensive, maybe she daydreams about strange foreign lands. She's sitting at the bottom of an apple tree, which represents abundance. There is a heart with a ribbon and a bow that is attached to the tree, the heart has the symbol venus on it, which is the planet for the Empress, and links this Empress with the Goddess Venus, the goddess of love and nature. The name Regina means queen in Latin so it fits her. She wears a red dress, the color of love and passion. I wonder what is the building behind her covered with a blue cloth, maybe some musicians are there playing for her, and maybe this is what has put her in this pensive and dreamy mood. She has taken off her crown so she's really relaxed here. The dog there represents fidelity, but I think it could also mean child, often for pets' owners their pets are their "children" in a way. The eagle represents royalty so it makes sense that it's there.
