Hi,
I'm kinda new to tarot and I'm actually preparing for an exam. Can u tell me the meaning of the positions of the cards in a more general perspective..which I can use for my reading ...which is regarding my exam.

I'm not sure that I understand you correctly but I would suggest that your first point of call is to decide on a spread. The position meanings will vary depending on the spread chosen.

If you look at the Tarot Spreads Index you will find many to choose from.

thanks for your reply. I decided to go with a 5 card spread.
My question was reading an exam which i'm planning to take.
so I wanted to know what the position of each card mean.

say my spread is
1 2 3
4 5

It would be great if u can show some light on this.

I think you need to be a little more specific as to what question you would like answered.

For example:

• How do I prepare for the exam?
• Is this a beneficial subject for me?
• How well will I do in the exam?

(These are just examples of course)

Then from that you need to decide on what aspects need to be split down into card positions. Here is a spread which may be used to answer your question:

spread with 5 cards

You may find others in the Index which you can adapt, but if you are wanting to make your own spread, you need to decide what you want answered and go from there.
