Farschian fortunetelling cards

truthsayer

has anyone seen the Farschian fortunetelling cards at tarot garden? if you haven't, you must! this is the most beautiful oracle i've seen in some time. they look like persian or indian works of art. the only thing that bothers me is that there is supposed to be cards that repeat in the deck. i'm not sure i want to spend, i think it's $50 usd for them. anyone have this deck yet?

Wow, these are beautiful. But are the fortunes translated, or only in Farsi? And do you have any sense of how the cards are read?

truthsayer

no, i don't. i was hoping someone could tell me!

Looked around cyberspace a little and this is what I found, via a listing on ebay:
Apparently you read the deck by pulling a single card, or by selecting a card that "calls" to you. Then you read the text, which is a verse of Sufi poetry. The first line answers your question and the rest is exposition. And, apparently the text is only in Farsi on these cards, no translation.

i wrote tarotgarden asking about this deck awhile ago, as i think it is the most beautiful oracle deck bar none! yes, it is only in farsi; no translations included. there are 54 cards but only 18 different images, and are they ever gorgeous!

there is another deck by farshian called the farschian fortune telling cards 2002. these are slightly smaller and have less repeating cards.

type farschian into the search box at tarotgarden to view both decks.
