Fenestra Tarot -- Six of Cups

Myrrha

For me the Six of Cups isn't usually about childhood or nostalgia or things from the past. It is more a card about very high and positive (six) emotional experiences...joy, pleasure.

In this image the boy is feeling a lot of joy and pleasure because he made his friend happy by giving her flowers. So it could be about being happy and having a pleasurable moment (the girl looking at the flowers) or about making someone else happy (the boy looking at the girl).

This delight in someone else's contentment and satisfaction is a good foundation for any kind of relationship. The image depicts a wall of different sized stones fitted together. It is beautifully built and solid looking. In a reading about a relationship or business dealing this card would show that someone has good motives and can be trusted.

It is autumn outside-- leaves are falling from a tree and the sky is a bleak color. On their side of the wall it seems warmer. Generosity and this ability to be happy from someone else's happiness creates a secure and warm atmosphere.

White lillies can symbolize purity. The boy hasn't done this out of any ulterior motive, just to make the girl happy. It is interesting that she seems to have two separate bunches of flowers, the cut red flowers in her left hand and the larger white lilies in the cup that the girl is gazing at happily. Perhaps she already had the small bunch of red flowers that will soon wilt (perhaps symbolizing a more passionate regard?) and the boy has just now given her the pot of longer lasting white lillies.
