The fact that the man is sitting there banging a drum, makes me think of doing your own thing, does what makes you happy, maybe being a bit selfish. A very good example of setting boundaries, in my eyes.

There is a white bird tin the tree to the left of the man's face, does anyone know what sort of bird it is?

Drum - drums feature prominently in the rituals of many of the world's cultures, being beaten to summon up supernatural spirits, to frighten away demons, and to whip celebrants up inot a state of ecstacy in which they will achieve communion with the spirit world. British folklore, for instance, boasts a number of spectral drums, which beat out warnings when dire events are in the offing. Another celebrated spectral drum was that which belonged to an itinerant drummer who was arrested for vagrancy. After the drummer was parted and he had been sentenced to transportation, the drum continued to be beaten by an unseen hand, and the entire village was much troubled by poltergeist activity.
