Obviously this card takes the place of the Magician or Magus card. Here we see a true master, the Gnostic Christ.

Robed in red and white with a bright halo of light surrounding his entire body the Gnostic Christ raises his right hand and delivers an ancient sign of blessing - first and second fingers raised, thumb and other fingers bent inwards, palm facing outwards. He stands at the center of the landscape and looks out toward us.

This is the seeker, the one who understands that there are challanges, This is the card that actually drew me to this deck.
Gray's Sytem places this card at Resh (Hebrew) Path 30 between Yesod (moon) and Hod (Mercury). Here we find the Angel gabriel at Yesod and Rapahael at Hod.
This makes some sense as Yesod is the 5th element, the aether, the psychic realm, the ocean, the tides and our genitals.
Hod is again the intellect, the swiftness of Hermes. We see the gnostic Christ at a place of intllectual mastery and emotional tides of a psychic nature. These two kabbalistic emanations also have the qualities of independence and truthfulness (yesod and hod respectively).
