Earth is teeming with life! Not just humans, but everywhere! And every region has angels watching over each. They could have something to tell you about your current situation and how to approach it.
Five cards are dealt in no particular, but form a cross. Along the vertical axis are the three environments of Earth that contain life: lowest is the hydrosphere (Sea), middle the lithosphere (Land), upper the atmosphere (Sky). On either side of the lithosphere, where humans inhabit, place a card to represent a friend and a foe. These two positions aren't set; as with life, it is your job to decide who your friends are and who your hindrances are.
The cards are read in no particular order, but I like to start with the Earth cards, working bottom to top, and end with the human cards.
The Hydrosphere - Angels of the Sea
Marine life of all kinds: fish, whales, dolphins, crustaceans, anemones, plants. Life in the cold, dim depths of the sea is perilous, yet water sustains us, and water is one of our most precious resources. Life began quietly in the cold depths of the ocean; even our fragile human bodies are mostly water. The Sea card represents the calm ANALYTICAL mentality, to sit and contemplate the question. This angel explains that if you consider all options before you act, this is what may come about.
The Lithosphere - Angels of the Land
Trees of all kinds, soil and mud containing micro-organisms, and a plethora of flora and fauna. The Earth angel's mentality is blunt, thrusting, and single-minded. The Land card represents the SINGULAR mentality; If you just pick a single goal, make it your trajectory, and charge forward, not look back with distraction, this is what could result.
The Atmosphere - Angels of the Sky
Birds, flying insects, all creatures of the air. Whirling winds from powerful storms to soft breezes. The Sky card reprresents the RANDOM mentality. The Sky Angels advise that if you choose to throw caution to the wind and move forward without any particular goal or objective, this is what could result. You may hit the bullseye without even caring where you're aiming.
Your Angels/Your Friend and your Foe
Look at the two cards and decide for yourself who in your life could be supporting your efforts based on one card, and who could be hindering you based on the other. It isn't always the same. It's often important to discern friend from foe.
They could also be seen as your personal guardian angel duking it out with the devil on your shoulder, both imploring you to act certain ways. According to the cards, can you figure out who is telling you what?
You may choose to draw a sixth card to place on land between friend and foe to represent yourself if you feel you need extra insight, but I've never needed it.
