How You Make Reversals

This will pertain to those who actually use reversals.

I was just wondering how all of you do it. I've done it two ways so far. One is taking my cards and making a circle with them and just mixing them up... like how a little kid might shuffle a card deck. The other way is as I shuffle them, I look for some sticking up and then I flip the cards over.

So how do you get your reversals? And thanks for sharing!

When I first started using tarot cards, I did use reversals. I would shuffle 7 times then cut the deck into 3 piles from right to left with my non-dominant hand (left in my case). I would choose a pile and reverse the entire thing. Then I would take that pile and place it on top of the rightmost pile and then take that pile and place it on top of the remaining pile. Repeat above process one more time. Third time I'd still shuffle 7 times and divide into 3 piles. Whichever pile I selected would be picked up without reversing it and then the deck would be reassembled as above. I would then deal the cards from the top of the deck.

I still do this shuffling process, I just omit the reversals part.

I shuffle my deck as one would a deck of playing cards. That automatically turns some of the cards in the deck. *shrug*

I can't really describe it in words, but if you've ever seen a casino dealer shuffle cards, then you get an idea of what I mean.

I shuffle the deck a few times, then reverse one portion and start shuffling again to get them mixed in well. I probably reverse about 1/3 of the deck.

Thanks, you guys! =] I sort of did a combination of the ideas and came up with my own way. =] It takes about ten minutes to shuffle... but, hey, it's worth it! =D

Go Fish pile. =P For some reason that just makes me smirk. =P Mixing up the cards is what I really want to do... especially when I'm impatient. =\ Sometimes I tend to get very impatient with the cards and end up not shuffling the reversals in very well... =\
