I want to do a reading but I'm not sure what spread to use

I've been thinking about getting a piercing for a long time, but I never got around because of lack of time and money. But this week I have the time and I have saved enough money. But I would like to do a reading to see if I'm doing the right thing by going through with it.

Which spread would you suggest?

I have to say that if you have any doubts about getting this piercing then this isn't the time to do it. That said, you could make up your own spread, something like:

Situation
Why you should
Why you shouldn't
Advice
Outcome

3. If I don't
4. Advice (optional, if the others aren't clear)

Just to say that I like to look at decision points not as should/shouldn't, but just as consequences/results down each path.

Yes, I can see the sense in that imagemaker. I don't usually make up my own spreads so this is a first for me. I like your thinking though, that is definately the better way to go.
