Inner Child Cards- Two of Swords

Golden Angel

Two of Swords

We have two young swashbucklers in a duel with swords. They each are perched on their own rock in the sea, where up front there is turbulence but in the backdrop we see a gorgeous yellow sun, calm waters, sky and clouds.

Swords- Communication
Water – Emotions
Rocks– foundations, basic beliefs
Sun - Expansion, growth, intelligence

Personal Interpretation of the Card:
This is a card of conflict. Sometimes the emotions may get into the way of communication with another person. At first the conflict may have been innocent, but its grew something more than that. In the distance we see the sun and calmer waters. The card always signifies that the conflict will be resolved. Look at the rocks that each of the young fighters stand on, they look the same- their basic beliefs or opinions or ideas are truly no different than the other. Compromise can be achieved.

This Card in a Reading:

Conflict.

Meanings for the Card:
Some people say this is a card about outer conflict or inner conflict. If outer, its about negotiations or defining boundaries. Inner conflict, is indecision. Actually for both- its about making a decision.

Reversed Interpretation:
As always, the Lerners do not believe in reversed interpretation of their deck. But I take the card in reversed as fighting against intellect (the Sun). No compromise in the distance. The emotions have taken over so much that the stalemate may continue.

Illustration of Card:
There is none for now.

Lerners Interpretation of Card from the Aloha Spirit site:
It may be a time in your life when you are making new decisions or searching for answers to old problems. Move toward your light and wisdom, and let the answers emerge like a great sunrise. Allow old worries to sink into the past Iike a poignant sunset. Clarity will come to you as you gently yield to the moment.
