Making Up Spreads

How would I go about making up my own spread ??????

I have a book called "Power Tarot" that has over 100 spreads,
that's what I've been using. I works with all of decks. but sometimes I find myself needing to get very specific and I have try to fit what I need into one of those spreads, and DUH, I don't get the answers I need !!!!!

Btw- I've never heard of the Ankh spread !!!! How does it go !????

My two cents worth, I just sit down and draw specific spreads for problems.

I think of questions needed to be answered and all the factors around that problem and build specific spread/s.

If you already have a book with 100 spreads, that should by default get your imagination going to build spreads that you need.

Save them somewhere and modify and create more as you need.

It works for me, because it answers the questions I need answered.

Also, on stubborn and complex issues, I use more than one spread to get a clearer picture or the full answer.
