Noblet. The Fool regarding Queen of Coins

Herzog

This combo appears to suggest caution against being sidetracked by money, stability, or the family life, with the little animal scratching at the man's privates as if to say, "Hey! Keep walking, you're not ready for that yet." But the man is interested, compelled even.

Compelled by the lure of money and family when clearly one is not ready for such commitments?

On the flip side, why is such an established woman interested in a scruffy vagabond? Perhaps she sees a noble quality in him and looks to elevate his status... change him

"He is the Jester of the Court. Laughter is the best aphrodisiac, especially if he is having a go at a no-longer-loved or never-loved husband legitimately. European history is full of royalty who at various times in the past seem to have accidentally mixed their DNA with court jesters.

Interesting. The wealthy lady is "slumming" and the poor man earns a few bucks. Everyone wins

I would see this pair as him on his way to see her, they are definitely eye-balling each other and so there's a connection. History aside and looking at this from a reading perspective, he is walking into the future and she is looking back, reminiscing. They could be two people who once knew each other and he took a turn for the worse, whilst she married into money, but neither look happy.

Moonbow*: .....whilst she married into money, but neither look happy.
I wonder if she is looking (thinking) back to her origins, reminiscing. Pleased to have achieved status (coins = value), but unhappy inside.

Could be a mother son relationship. Perhaps he's the black sheep of the family, disowned by his dad yet his mom sneaks him food and money
