Program about playing cards and tarot

Lillie

I've just been watching this.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pU9WGyU4bnM

It's interesting, over simplified of course, and with some mistakes, particularly one that made me laugh out loud.
But still, fun to watch, with lots of nice images.

The first half is about playing card history, and then it goes onto tarot about half way through.

I enjoyed it, so I thought I'd post it here.

Hi, Lillie!

I only watched the first section of it - can we say OVER-PRODUCED? LOL!!! The background music changes constantly and does not let up for a second! Get the ears a break, here! :bugeyed: LOL!!! I found the score and the sound effects track to be distracting.

Lillie

:)

Sorry about your ears! It wasn't too offensive through my little headphones.

If you only watched the first half you missed the best bit, they said that Crowley was a student of Waite :D

Poor Al, he'll be turning in his grave.

Oh, no ~ I went on to watch the whole thing and caught that, too ... I am wondering where they came up with THAT? LOL!!!

The Tarot section starts at 24:00 if anyone wants to skip the first part!

Lillie

They got it out of the 'Big Boy's Book of Bullsh*t'.

I liked the bit about the ace of spades. I wonder if that was true.

Le Fanu

I'd already watched this programme but I'm enjoying watching it again (a couple of years on). Thanks for the reminder!
