This Aries full moon, happening on the 15th October in Australia and the 14th October in the United States, is one of promise, a desire for happiness, hopes and dreams for the future, along with a need to find one's place and part in the scheme of life.
The full Moon occurs at 21 Aries 50 - the Sabian Symbol for which is Aries 22: The Gate Opens to the Garden of All Fulfilled Desires.
As this is an Aries full Moon, we're being asked to analyze our own desires, our own wants and needs - although, as usual, we have to allow for and integrate the needs of others. It seems that the trick with this full Moon, with the Sun in Libra, is to keep one eye focused on what's expected of you, but to also make sure that you're not sacrificing your needs, your wants, your desires in order to keep others happy. If we're so busy caring about what others want, need or demand of us, we can miss our opportunity to slip into that place that truly rewards us in so many ways.
What and where is the place you strive for? There may be fear about just what ‘All Fulfilled Desires’ may actually represent. Maybe you already have everything you need—take a look around and ask yourself this. Are you ready and willing to accept the rewards? Perhaps you need to make the deliberate action of opening the ‘Gate’, allowing entry to where you belong and where you want to be. It can often be difficult accepting or admitting what we really want, especially to ourselves. You may be used to (or addicted to) being in a difficult or unfulfilling situation or relationship. Can you cope with the more rewarding possibilities that lie beyond any barriers? As this ‘Gate’ opens (in your mind, your emotions or literally) you’ll find you’ve come to a new threshold, possibly a whole new beginning in life. Often there needs to be a pause, a reflection of how real or rewarding this new place is that you are about to enter. Perhaps you need to knock first, showing your clear intention of "wanting in". Then you can take that step towards what you want. Be prepared to tend to your ‘Garden of Fulfilled Desires’.

As always, I look to the degree of the Sun at the time of the full Moon. The Sabian Symbol is Libra 22 A Child Giving Birds a Drink at a Fountain. Children demonstrate a generosity of spirit and take delight in giving to beings less able than themselves. They give freely and unconditionally.
This Symbol shows that we must assume the caring of a ‘Child’ in order to be connected to and aware of, the needs and worries of others. The problem that can come out of adulthood is the expectation of return, the "what’s in it for me" routine. It is when an experience is its own true reward that we achieve openness and joy in responding to the energies that surround us everyday. Someone's needs, hopes and wishes are in need of sustenance or refreshment. Whether this is you or someone else, simple gestures can revitalize situations beyond your expectations. If you, or another, have the resources to nourish or to help someone or something, the effort required will be minimal, but the rewards may be well worth it.
Having said the above, it's not particularly easy to rest in amongst all that's going on in the world, politically and financially. This is especially so as Chiron, the Wounded Healer and The Story Teller, and the Moon's North Node are both on the same degree: Aquarius 17: A Watchdog Standing Guard Protecting His Master and His Possessions. Both Chiron and the Node are heading back over Aquarius 16 very soon.
The Sabian Symbol is A Big Businessman at His Desk. These two degrees have had Neptune, the planet of illusion, deception, fantasy and generally nodding off on the job, going over them during the last two to three years. We can now see the fruits of Neptune's illusive promise - so many promises, so few kept for so many people.
Mercury, the planet of communications and things moving smoothly, has been retrograde for around three weeks and is now stationary and about to move direct. That will be a relief for many who've had to, at times, battle just to get rather simple and ordinary things done.
The Sabian Symbol for Mercury direct is Libra 8: A Blazing Fireplace in a Deserted Home. There are many 'deserted homes' and it looks like there will be many more, unless the financial band aids are applied in the right places. How about lighting a candle (or a fire) and inviting love into your home?
As it did over the last weeks, during the coming weeks, Mercury will again be moving over some rather difficult Sabian Symbols - Libra 18: Two Men Placed Under Arrest Give an Accounting For Their Acts Before the Tribunal of Society and Libra 19: A Gang of Robbers in Hiding. Let's hope that those who 'rob' from us, steal our sense of wellbeing and happiness and generally hide in the shadows to do us harm ARE brought to justice.
One thing is very likely and that's relationships are bound to be under a fair amount of stress at the moment. Facts need to come to light, not be supressed, covered up and given the greased lens treatment. It's a fine line between being relaxed and open and uptight and onguard with the Watchdog and the Robbers and the Two Men Placed Under Arrest. My sense of it is that if we're upfront, honest and true, we'll find that golden mean, that fine line, that balance we search for. The outside world can take care of the Robbers and the Arrests and the Watchdogs. We have our own patch to focus on and seeing the beauty in it all is part of the process.
Meanwhile, this full Moon brings us the opportunity to figure out where and what and how we will find our Gate to the Garden of All Fulfilled Desire! Finding out where this 'place' is that you want to be is likely to become more urgent or immediate with the new moon in Scorpio at the end of October. The Sabian Symbol?
