The Crossed Sticks spread

This spread simply came to me when thinking of an alternate broader celtic cross spread. Tell me what you think. Personally, I like it.

1. Relates to the distant past
2. The recent past
3. The near future
4. The distant future
5. Advice or challenges to learn from from the past
6. Challenges or opportunities in the future
7. The querent's current position, feelings, or just the querent

What I find different is that even though 5 belongs to the future stick, it is on the past side and so I felt it important to carry the passive information and not the future. The same is with the sixth card but visa versa.

The other unique thing about this spread is that the querent is the last card. This isn't a typical style but I feel that starting in the center would create a circle and not what I wanted with the symbolism.

So what do you guys think?

I like this spread very much Mike.

It reminds me of similar spreads used with Lenormand cards and with those many combinations can be used. For example cards 1, 2 and 5 could be read together as a snapshot to the past... and then the same again with cards 3, 4 and 6 for the future.

Infact I guess it could be used with Lenormand as well as Tarot.
