The Hobbit Tarot - The Emperor

La Force

LWB said:
The Elf King sits on the bough of a tree, preparing an arrow in his hands.

The many shades of green in which he is adorned show his deep affinity with nature, and his ability to blend with this force and adapt.

His dagger is sheathed on his hip-bet, close to hand and ready for use.

He has the energy of relaxed readiness.

Two white swans in the fore-ground represent purity.

The harp symbolizes independence and freedom.

The entire scene is imbued with a strange, purple radiance of the astral plane.

A dormant volcano in the background holds the hidden powers of earth

Divinatory meaning:

The struggle for independence, order from chaos, leadership, and patriarchal values

WOW is my first impression of this card, absolutely beautiful. I love the colors, the whole image is striking. Peaceful, calming, tranquility and relaxing. I don't pick up any authoritativeness at all coming from this image. I feel comfort from it.

I noticed that there are 3 mushroom is this image, which to me is a link to the empress. Lot of water in the image, The King sits on a tree which looks to be a very small island in the middle of a lake. therefore I sense a lot of feelings / emotional energies coming from the card.

I haven't got anything much else to add to the description at this point. For it seems to have been well covered.

Divinatory meaning:

Independence, peaceful, order, work, readiness, preparing, calm, relaxed, comfort, stability, trust, tranquil.
