The Knight Stopped Me!

This week I had been thinking about going to the ATM this weekend to get $$ to buy a frivolous item -- definitely a "want," not a "need" -- the cost of which exceeded the available cash in my wallet. I do a daily 3 card past, present, future draw from Robert Places' Alchemical Tarot... and what showed up 3 times this week?

The Knight of Pentacles

First time, Monday in the future, second time Thursday in the present, and again this morning (Saturday) in the present.

I interpret this card as the protector of wealth. I had a mental image of the knight standing in front of the ATM, his arms outspread, blocking my access. I get the message. I will wait until after payday when I have my regular spending $$ in hand to decide if I still want the item.
